Think I have determined that on of my fuel senders is bad. Confused on which sender to get. My tank is 100 gallons and is 13" tall. Since most Universals go either 6" - 12" or 4" - 24", I would assume that I would go with the 4" - 24".
The problem I have is that the one that came out of there only has a rod that measures 9-1/2". Add 1-1/2" for the body that hangs below the top, and you get 11". That would mean if it hung straight down it would be 2" off the bottom. I know it is all in the arc, but don"t you think a 6" - 12" would do better to match the other sides tank?

Re: Fuel Sender Length

Either should do fine. Its all in the adjusting of the float.

Re: Fuel Sender Length

I just bought one from iboats. It comes with a straight rod and you bend it the length you need and slide the retaining clips to hold the float then trim off the excess rod.
