I need a fuel shut off valve for my 1975 ted Williams 7.5 hp Model 217/585880
s/n 6D061379....Mine still works but you have to use small pliers to completely cut the fuel off because the t-handle is broken off.
Sears no longer carries this part.
Thanks

Try a Lawn Boy dealer. Old D-engine models used a valve very similar.

Or any other Lawn Mower shop. They have "universal" shutoff valves. After all, the Ted W. is a lawn mower engine.

Or just get a knurled knob with a set screw to replace the missing T-handle.

Re: Fuel shut off valve

Thanks for all the help but the shaft is too short to put any thing with a set screw on it...But I did get it working with an electrical wire nut and JB weld.
I ground the plastic portion of the wire nut down to the threads and then filled the cavity with JB weld and let it sit overnight....so far she works great.
