Fuel sprays out of the carb, bulb does not get hard

I have a 8 HP Mariner. When I pump the primer bulb gas just sprays out of the top of the carb <br />and a little hole on the bottom right side of the carb. The bulb does not get hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the float is stuck.

hello<br /> time for a carb job<br /> if that model uses the round white float, shake it and see if it has fuel in it.
