I have a Starcraft Islander with 115HP Merc 6 cylinder tower. Bought it last year. Motor starts great and will idle all day long, but the primer bulb gets sucked completely flat. If I try to run it any spped at all it shuts down and then the bulb fills back up. I have changed all fuel lines, trhe primer bulb, the fuel filter on the oil injection unit, no change. Any ideas? One marine mechanic thought it was possibly an anti siphon valve but I have tried blowing air into the tank through the fuel outlet and it goes in easily, then it spits a full fitting diameter stream of gas when I stop. Is there another fiter in the oil injection unit? What am I missing?
thanks for the help - may you all have tight lines and throbbin rods.

Re: Fuel Starvation

Hi Rods
The tank vent is pluged or you have a problem with the anti siphon valve. If you blow up the the fuel hose toward the tank, you should get nothing back when you stop.
