If I want to set my kicker motor on the same fuel tank as the main motor ( inboard tank ), what should I do ? Isntall it with a ''Y'' connection or a two way valve. I was thinking of putting a Y fitting at the outlet of the tank before or in front of the two prime bulbs.

Let me know what you think !

Thanks

Mario ;)

Re: Fuel Supply !

'Afternoon Smokey,

I would go with the switch valve.

Using just a "Y" may produce unsatisfactory results. With a "Y", the fuel pump from the ACTIVE motor will be trying draw fuel from the "Y" (Both the gas tank and the INactive motor).

Using only the "Y", don't know if drawing against the fuel pump of the INactive motor is a great idea.

Good Luck
Have FUN!

I tried the "Y" fitting and found it unsat. Put in a valve( 2 way) and it works very well. Only problem I have is going to the stern and switching the valve.
