If I can siphon fuel from my tank can I take that as proof of free flow and no fuel restrictions.

Siphon how? Through the filler or using the fuel outlet?

Through the filler proves nothing and through the fuel outlet means the anti-siphon valve isn't working.

O. K. I see the error of my post. I should have included there is no anti siphon valve, I took it out. I meant through the fuel outlet at but not into the engine. Just siphon from there to a tank on the ground.

Well if the fuel flows it flows, whether or not there are any restrictions that what would be impossible to tell.

Guess the real question is are you having fuel issues or trying to prevent any?

I see the error in my thought process. I was not pleased with your replies until I realized what was being said. I realize that whether it siphons or not the real issue would be rate of flow. It will siphon I guess no matter whether there is restriction or not, just a matter of how much as long as it is not closed off completely. Then I guess gravity and physics come into play. I did think I had a fuel flow issue , now no certain. Is there a vacuum number to work with. Fuel delivery at motor. Thank you all.

About the only things that can cause a restriction other than a bad fuel pick up line from the tank to the fuel pump are

Anti-siphon valve that's defective
Screened pick up that has collected debris.
Lack of proper venting

I think the only way to know if you're getting proper fuel flow to the carb(s) is a pressure gauge between the pump and carbs.

Also air leaks in the connectors will cause less gas reaching the motor.

Is there place in particular to run both a pressure and vacuum test? . If so if you know the pressure and vacuum numbers. Thanks.

Just a pressure test, if it's getting the fuel at the correct pressure then all should be fine. Fuel pressure depends on the motor, no idea what your running.
