Fuel Tank Distance

I have been considering relocating my fuel tank aprox 12 feet from the motor 9.5. has anyone done this is the fuel pump strong enough to allow for this. will it damage the fuel pump over the long haul. I need to do it to equal the weight. Let me know what everyone thinks.

distance doesn't matter as long as you pump the primer bulb an get a soild fill of gas in the line,,, no problem. if you are always disconnecting the fuel line for say removal of the engine,, then pump the bulb & purge the air out of the line before hookup
