I have a plastic fuel tank that is leaking through one of the screw's of the fuel sender. A mechanic put a wood screw instead of a machine screw. Now other mechanic's told me I have to replace the tank and want to charge me $1,500.Is there any way I can seal the hole and put the correct screw to stop the leak?

Re: Fuel Tank Leak

Hard to say without knowing what tank it is, possibilities are a new gasket or neoprene washer, maybe an epoxy product of some kind. Can you get at the back side to use a nut &bolt?
