fuel tank pickup tube

I am replacing the pickup tube in my fuel tank, and would like to know which way the slash in the bottom of the the tube should face,forward or to the back of the tank?

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,... It don't matter, the angle cut is just so's the fuel can still flow if the tube butts up against the bottom of the tank,...

Usually sits at a up right position touching bottom of tank....
