HEllo All,

I have a 1994 Wellcraft, im trying to figure out if the fuel tank is made of Fiberglass or Polypropelyne (did i spell that right?) Anyway it looks like either or, does anyone out there know for sure? Or how I can determine?
My main concern is its reactivity to ethanol in the fuel

Thanks Jules

Hi. I found another question re 1994 Wellcraft fuel tanks on the web.
The answer given (by a tech with 35 yrs experience) was that Wellcraft used either aluminum or poly. So yours is probably poly:)

Polypropylene. Cross linked plastic derived from the propyl group, usually propylene gas, 4 carbon atoms in thesingle non cross linked molecule. If my basic organic chemistry is remembered correctly, methyl-1 carbon, ethyl-2 carbons, butyl-3 carbons, propyl-4carbons, pentyl-5 carbons. TMI?
