Can someone tell me how to wire my fuel tank? It has a guage and rocker switch.

Nathan,

I don't know why you have the swith.

Anyway, the wire from the center post of the sending unit goes to the "S" terminal on the guage.

12 volts goes to the "P" or "12V" terminal on the guage. This could come from the switch or the ignition switch.

The side terminal on the sending unit is a ground-preferably direct to the battery.

I guess the switch is there to keep the battery from running down. If not the guage will always be on.

Nathan.

Probably. You can just as easily wire it into a circuit that is only "live" when the key is on.

As an example, if you have a tachometer, there is a terminal "I" on the tach. that is only live with the key on. In that case, the "S" (sender terminal can be wired to that "I" terrminal on the tach.
