Fuel/Water Seperator recommendation

I have a 1988 88hp Johnson and need to purchase a fuel water seperator. Is there a recommendation for a fuel water seperator that works well with Johnsons or will any one do. The boat is mainly used in salt water and trailered. Thanks

Most any of the water seperators will work. There are Johnson ones and Merc ones, so you need to buy the correct replacement element, for whichever you choose.

I would pick up a universal one (Moeller makes a good one), with a inexpensive replacement element. The ones with the drain fitting are OK, but I find so little water in the element at the end of the season, I did not think it worth the extra cost.
