Regular 87 octane pump gasoline is FINE Now, you mentioned 10% ethanol. That opens a can of worms EVERYBODY--well, half the forum-- is going to answer with the absolute horror stories about 10% ethanol and the other half of the forum members will chime in about how ethanol in gas does no harm. I have been running 87 octane w 10% ethanol for years with no ill effects. Sure, fuel lines do harden and fuel pump diaphragms do wrinkle and get stiff but this happens anyway with non ethanol gas.

As Frank mentioned, I am with the 87-Oct-10% ethanol boys! Lol! Just like him I am cheap and I mean cheap like bullet proof and water proof tight! In fact, that is the reason I am in this forum or else I would have had a mechanic do it all for me! Sure I walk like a China man squeezing my butt cheeks together to save on leg work but that's how tight and cheap I am!

Oh did I also mention I only use Walmart's $11/gal 2-cycle oil? Yup, it is TC3 and I don't see any reason to pay a penny more! Lol

Thanks. Its hard to find any gas stations around here that have reg unleaded anymore. And about the only one that's easy to get in with a boat is sams club

My experience with ethanol is good for the last 9 years with a chrysler 85. The oil mix stabilizes the ethanol gasoline. I've always let it sit with full tanks for 6 months in the winter and then just start it and use it in May. No issues. The 2 stroke chryslers of the 70's vintage eat ethanol like they love it. A 4 stroke is a different story. Without the oil in the gas, it will turn to junk over a fairly short period of time.
