Full closed cooling Flush question

Finished the repower of my boat with a 5.7 and added a full closed cooling kit. Block and manifolds. I can't believe the difference from the 5.0 and raw water cooling. The temp is much more stable and the motor just seems to run better.

1999 5.7 mercruiser alpha gen2

My question is Can I tee into the line from the power steering cooler to the raw water side of the heat exchanger to add a flush port and flush the heat exchanger and the risers WITHOUT running the motor?

Yes, but you will have some water going back through the raw water pump. So if you do this out of the water, you will see some water coming out of the drive pickups also.

Thanks Don I was more worried about water getting into the manifold. I did not know if the Boat was in the water there would be some sort of back pressure that would somehow let water go back up the riser.
