I'm new here, new to this POS motor too !!!! Johnson Elect-Seahorse Early 70's model.....75 HP (Will verify that!)<br /><br />To explain....<br />Motor seemed to run great in a barrel. Smooth idle, and smooth response during accel up to WOT.<br />BUT when I put it in the water I realize that the thing only provides about 10-20 % of the expected power.<br />Would surge slightly and "try" to wind-up. but that's all.<br />The thing isn't reaching full throttle, I can't check rpm's yet, but compared to other motors I have had, it simply doesn't "Wind-up" and GO !!!<br /><br />
