Re: FURUNO FISH FINDER
That is a current model, thought it is the oldest of the ones Furuno is still selling. It is a CRT unit that was made in various power outputs ranging from around 150 when it was first introduced up to I think 300 by the last ones that were being made. It is an outstanding fish finder when its working well, providing it is mounted somewhere the sun isn't on the screen.

At any rate your best bet is to contact Furuno, either via E-Mail on their web site or just give them a call (Washington State) so see where to go from here. Their repair facilities are fast and efficient. By the way, even if the transducer is bad it should light up the screen and you should be able to get into the setup for it. I am pretty sure that if you call Furuno they will begin by having you do a master reset on the machine by going through a buttom-press sequency on power up. I think there is also a built in self-test that they can tell you a lot more about.

Thom
