I dissasembled pump today, the rotor seems in good shape, nice and flexible but the pin under the eccentric seems wrong or worn. it is round but flat on one side. is this normal? it seems I can rock the eccentric forward and backward kinda far. I'm having trouble finding one, # 550672. can I use some square stock or key? or make one from a nail? does the rotor wear out? F_R, nw, need your advice.....

wish i could help ron, but the gale i have is a non runner/nfg. picked it up from an auto salvage yard just to keep it from getting recycled. i can try to soak it in pb blaster to see if i can get the lu apart tho..if that would help?

It's just a round stainless steel pin. You can make one from a piece of SS, or just go with what you have unless it is worn so badly that you fear it is about to shear off. There is no significant torque on it when running.

Thanks, you reminded me I also have a 5hp sitting in a snow drift that's also froze up and nfg. diagrams show same pin. So when I get to it I'll put the heat to it cuz pb blaster hasn't worked. Meantime I'll look for something ss that I can do with. Thanks again gentlemen!
