I am trying to track down an impeller for 5hp gale sea king 45GG-9o15a. Does this motor have a fuel pump?

Re: Gale 5hp

That is a 1954, Gale model 5D10, no fuel pump. Brian Wilcox can make you an impeller. He needs the hub from the old one. OR, simply buy a new impeller for a 1955-up 5.5hp Johnson at any Evinrude dealer, or right here at i-boats. It is the same thing, except the center hole is too small by .010". Ream it out and you are good to go. http://www.chrystine.com/impellers/order.html

F_R thanks for the info. Do you have any advice for getting the N-F cable through the tube? The cable is pretty ratty at the end. Thanks

Re: Gale 5hp

If it is frayed on the end, DON'T pull it out. If you already have, it is kind of late to say that. It is stainless steel, so you can't solder it. You probably will have to replace it. Part number is 591179. An option is Johnson part number 302360, which is too long, but don't cut it off or it will fray too. marineengine.com has 4 of the 591179 in stock and 10+ of the 302360
