I inherited a 7.5 hp Gamefisher Motor, I started to check it out with the obvious.... 1) Compression: I checked and it is perfect, 2) Fire: I tested for spark and there is none coming through the Wire... I figured after being in storage for so many years the points are corroded.... So I began to disassemble. I took off the cover, the fuel tank and filter, the pull rope assy., and now can't find out how to take of the power head.... Do I need to use a puller??? Any help would be greatly apperciated, Thanks, BCavitt

Re: Gamefisher 7.5 hp Motor

Model number would help but I think it is an Eska built motor and may be electronic ignition.I believe parts are not available or are expensive.but I may be confused.I assume you mean the flywheel removal. Most outboard require an harmonic balancer puller to remove the flywheel.A cheap puller is available at harbor freight among other outlets.Replace the bolts with 5 line
bolts 5 line has 3 lines on the head.

It's a pull start, however the Model # is 217-585750, and Serial # 28-205432, also if anyone has a pdf version of the Manual I would appreciate the info on where to download it from as well, Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the tip. I logged into messenger and he helped me tremendously. Not only did I get into where I wanted he talked me all the way through it and I fixed the problem... Plus I have found a parts store for exactly what I am needing. THANK YOU!!!
