I have a Sears 7.5 HP Game fisher it has an orange rubber fuel pump behind the carburator. I understand that it has to go in a certain way but I can find nothing on it anywhere. This engine is very hard to start and don't seem to idler up very well. I have cleaned carb check compression new plug but thinking there is a problem in this fuel pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the bladder is supposed to go in a certain way. I'd have to do some research to find out how it goes. However, that has nothing to do with your hard starting...unless the bladder is ruptured and flooding the engine.

You have a Series II, and the ends of the slot in the fuel pump element ought to be pointed at two and 8 o'clock.
