Gamefisher ID question

I bought a Gamefisher 7.5 hp outboard for my jon boat. I need to buy an impeller but I can't find the model number on the thing. Who knows where they hid the number? I know it's probably in plain site and I'll feel like a fool after someone tells me where it is but I can live with that.

I just picked up a gamefisher 7.5 too. My model/serial is on a plate attached to the top of the powerhead mount, under the cowling.

some you have to tilt the engine and look under the bottom of the cowl, some others had it just inside the cowl and to the left..may even be painted over

I'll take another look at it when I get some time. It has the metal gas tank mounted on top of it. Thanks for the tips. If I can find my camera I'll snap a pic or two.

I think there between the transom clamps on that model

mrcrabs, you have earned a crabby pattie on me. Looked at it and tilted the motor up on the bracket and there it was. Big silver tag with the numbers I need. Thanks for the info. Now I can order an impeller and get it back on the water. Thanks again!
