Gamefisher rpm, and tinytack?

Hello, I have a gamefisher 15hp model#225.581506, seirel # 0e074752. I bought i tiny tack model 2A, what rpm should should it idle at, what degree should i set it at, i have it set for 360= 1 spark per revolution now, i can changed to 720 1 spark per 2 revolution, or 180= 2 sparks per revolution? What is the the max rpm on this engine?

Idle 500-800 guessing but I would think they could be brought down lower, the 7.5 gamefisher is rated at 5650rpm to produce 7.5 hp so I would guess the 15hp will come in around 4500rpm with about the same idle.

Is that idle speed in gear or in neutral? 4500 rpm should it be that low, thought it would be higher.

I'm looking at a yamah 9.9 service manual, says operating range 4500-5000 rpm , I;m guessin about the eska but I'm sure its close

Hello, I have a gamefisher 15hp model#225.581506, seirel # 0e074752.

The 225 prefix to the model # indicates that it was sourced from Chrysler rather than Eska. For data refer to the similar year and model Chrysler,

From what the parts guy said this is a 1993 or a 1994, when i picked up a carb kit it was from mercury, same as the water pump, so iam pretty sure this is not an eska or a chrysler.

Forgot the details but Chrysler was sold to Force in the late '70s (by federal order as a requirement due to being bailed out of bankruptcy) which was eventually bought by Mercury. Whatever the details there is a direct lineal descent from Chrysler! And prior to purchase by Chrysler circa 1965 it did business as West Bend who supplied the postwar Elgin series of motors to Sears that cemented their reputation for quality outboards.

FWIW West Bend was built on the corpse of the Kissel Motor Co. which like many lesser auto makers went belly up @ 1930. But the industrial products section limped along until taking a Sears contract to supply their Waterwich brandname outboards from @ 1936 thru 1942.

So your motor has a long and convoluted family history dating back to the early auto industry when Kissel was a Force to be reckoned with!

you want the idle to be just at the point that when you put it in gear you don't bang the shifting dog to hard...and always make a firm quick shift.

93/94 Should be a Force motor.Idle should be set warm in forward.Models with a walbro carb 600-750,with tillotson carb 600-700.max rpm is 4750-5750.
If it refers to all sparks occuring a 2 cylinder 2 stroke would be 2 sparks per revolution.If it refers to the plug that is wired it would be one spark per one revoution.
I believe 1 spark for 2 revolutions would be a single 4 stroke.a 2 cylinder 4 stroke would be one spark per revolution.
