I will be shooting through the hull. I usually fish in waters no deeper that 50' but occasionally fish Smith lake in Cullman/Jasper AL which is 80' to 250'. The boat is a 19' Gambler. I haven't looked yet, but I think they left a place beside the flasher 'ducer for one more.<br /><br />I've read that the Furuno's are better for deeper salt water. <br /><br />Which one will paint a better picture in shallow or deep water?<br /><br />Thanks for the replies.<br />Caine
