Garmin GPSMAP 178c

Just recently I have noticed a "Green Circle" around my own boats symbol on my GPSMAP. It stays there no matter what the zoom range. Any ideas on what it is or how to get rid of it?

It may be your GPS accuracy setting. Go into the main menu and turn accuracy to "off" and see what happens

I get that on my GPSMAP276C when the is no WAAS signal to fine tune the accuracy. Go to the menu and turn off the WAAS, but accept poorer position info if there is a WAAS signal available.

I just use the green ring as a caution that accuracy is more like 30 meters than 3 meters.
