Garmin opinions wanted

Does anyone have experiences, good or bad with the Garmin 238 GPS/ff? I found one on sale for $460. I want to replace my older Lowrance GPS/ff with a chartplotter/ff in the cabin. I already have a Garmin 162 on my flybridge so I want to stick to Garmin for software reasons.<br /><br />Thanks for any input.

Looks like a geat deal! I have a garmin sounder on my boat and it works great. I have a lowrnace gps, but I looked real hard at the garmin and was going to buy the Garmin 182 when I came across the lowrance, it was a return so I got it for about half the retail price. <br />Make sure you know if the price includes the transducer, if you need one.
