gas filter for force 125

hi to all i have a 125 force1988 and i just got a in line filter at wall mart and it is glass don't like it but it is all they had. i think i may have a air leak when I'm driving wot the filter has a lot of bubbles and is not full is that normal. when i first start the motor i can pump the ball in tell it has no air in it but after the motor starts it has a lot of air in the filter is that OK or do i have a problem

I had a similar experience with the one (glass see-through) that I installed. I replaced the fuel pump diaphragm and that reduced the amount of of bubbles and clear space (not completely full), but it still does not stay completely full when running. I suspect this is normal.

NOTE: I also cut a length of rubber hose about the same diameter of the fuel filter. Cut it again lengthwise and wrapped it around the fuel filter to cushion it should the glass come into contact with anything while running.

i just rebuilt my fuel pump i just wonder if i still had a fuel problem. because i still can not get over 4100 RPM at only 32 or 33 not fast at all on a 18f bayliner

Seems too slow for that set up. What size/pitch prop do you have?

i have a 13x17 prop it is slow what can i do i have good spark and good compression.

I have a 1990 Force 120HP on a 20ft with a 13x19 prop I get almost 40Mph.

I suspect that one of your cylinders is not working to it's fullest potential. Start by performing a compression test to see if the rings/cylinder walls are in good shape.

i did do one and 119 120 118 112 i do have a in line tank could it have a lot of moister in tank
