I have two gas fireplaces in my home The home is new to me.

Both of the units are Lennox. They are both original installations when the house was built-2004. They look slightly different which seems to be just the trim. The inner workings look the same. Both are contolled by wall switches.

The question is, can I convert these to an electronic pilot system? No flame? Currently, there is a pretty big pilot light flame burning in both. Those pilots do throw off a fair amount of heat not to mention using gas.

You may try contacting a dealer who handles and installs those units. They should be able to answer your question, and let you know what the cost of a conversion would be. Good luck!
