Question...

My fuel gauge is not working. It is connected to the gas tank, which is actually a built in tank.. Is there something that would easily fix this? A part I need to buy... Maybe an inline fuse or connecter at the tank? Any suggestions would be great.

Re: Gas Guage HELP!

Most likely it is the sending unit. They are very easy to replace. Check the web site that schematic referred you to. You can't install one incorrectly if you follow the directions.

I replaced the one in my 120 gallon tank this spring. I looked for the assess opening on the tank. I removed the cover and the sending unit was right below. The tank manufacturer had put a data plate on the tank which gave me all kinds of info and the telephone number of the manufacturer. I called them and gave them the model number of the tank from the data plate and they told me exactly the sender to get. It cost me a couple more bucks but I am comfortable that I am getting an accurate reading.

Thanks you guys.

I'll give these suggestions a try. Always a little anxious out on the lake not knowing how much gas you REALLY have.
