Guys, My '93 evinrude 150 intruder is leaking fuel. I replaced the 'o' ring in the fuel filter assembly and when I pumped the primer bulb to check for leaks after a few pumps fuel started coming out of the vaccuum switch located just below the fuel filter assembly. Is this normal for this engine?

No this is not normal for this engine. Check all hose connections and make sure the leak isn't coming from somewhere else on the fuel module. If it is coming from the vacuum switch, you will need to replace it and the push clip that secures it.

Thanks for the quick reply. The vacuumm switch has a small almost a pin hole in it. It looks just like the one pictured in the evinrude manual. If its not supposed to leak fuel, then why is there a hole there?

If the hole wasn't there, there would be no way the diaphram within the component could move. Think about it.

So fuel streaming out this hole about a foot when I pump the primer bulb is not a good thing, and I should replace this component?
