gas line Bulb

I just got a new omc gas line today The bulb is 20 inches from the tank not near the outboard will it work ok and how do you prime the line to get the bulb hard????? (built in Tank)

Point arrow on the bulb up. Gravity will help the check valves until gas gets in there. I usually custom cut whatever necessary to fit the application, but there's nothing wrong with using it how you got it.
