Gas Oil Mix for 50 Force

I just bought a boat and it has a 507Y9b serial 2302 50 Force engine and it has no owner manual. Can someone Please tell me the oil gas mix. I engine started right up when I bought it but I have yet to test it on the water.....This is my first boat and i hope I have a good engine? Also can anyone tell me what year it is and where I can get a manual? Thanks

It is a 1989 and the mixture should be 50:1

Thanks all of you so much for your help. I have been going through all the FAQ and reading all the posts trying to figure what I should do before I go out on the water with the boat I bought. Up here in Michigan many people are unloading all kinds of stuff cheap and some of it is junk.

I found a manual on ebay and ordered some parts. I know I have to change the gear oil and have someone look at this motor before I take it out on like the Saginaw Bay....LOL I got a 15' 1979 fiberglass boat, motor and trailer for $960 so I knew to expect some problems. He told me the engine was 10 years old when it was 20. I will be back searching the post many more times again I'm sure.

Might be a good idea to get the carbs cleaned before you go out also.
