Okay fella's, I'm to the point now where I need to put gas in my tank...the previous owner told me the instructions for mixing the gas and oil were on the tank...well to my surprise the instructions have been scratched so much that it can't be read. My engine is a 1972 Evinrude 50hp, the size of the gas tank is approximately 5 to 6 gallons. I have read some of the other posts that state that TWC-3 is used but, I want to be completely sure of how much to add to the gas and where I can go to get this oil.

50:1; using 87 or 89 US octane gasoline and TC-W3.
That's approximately 16 ounces for a 6 US gallon tank.

Does it matter when I put the oil in? Can I fill the tank then add the oil?

Re: gas/oil mixture

TC-W3 oil mixes very quickly in the gasoline so it does not matter. Be sure to use a fuel stabilizer like sta-bil in the fresh mix if you plan to store it for long.
