i've come across a little problem. i found a hole in my fuel tank and it has leaked a couple of gallons of fuel into the rear of my boat.
The fuel tank has been removed, bilge drained and rinsed, and boat is ready for winter.
What can I use to help get rid of the gas smell?

Re: gas smell

Put the plug in.
Let the air get at it.
Hot soap and water, and take it for a drive, the hot soapy water will release any of the gas that is in the fiberglass pores?
The drive is just to slosh it around.

You can use the Purple Power cleaner. it is a degreaser and will clean off the gasoline residue. Then fresh air is the key.

Re: gas smell

My neighbor just dumped a couple gallons in the back of his Dodge Charger in the trunk......he has had moderate success with a couple of shoeboxes full of cat litter and baking soda......just letting them sit in the truck and then keeping the trunk open when he is at home to air it out.
