I am re stringering and flooring a 1994 celebrity 180. The original stringers were not covered in glass and resin and there was a carpeted panel/ hatch/ piece of plywood that covered where the fuel tank is/ was down in the floor. The worst part of my rot was where the water ran down around this and down the stringers. I have noticed on here it seems many people completely seal their fuel tanks in when they replace the floor leaving only access to the sending unit and where the fuel lines connect.
What are the chances I will need to get to the fuel tank to remove it? What kind of failure/ mishap would require this and how likely are they?
