gas tank leaks on 57 sea king 3hp

just got this little motor for my canoe, started right up when i got it but the gas tank leaks. i pulled it off and the last guy had tried to use jb weld on it but it has a lot of small holes in it, at least 20. see picture for some of them. not sure if anything can be done to this or not. i can make some other type of tank but i would like to use the original one, or does any one make a replacement tank for this model?

That tank is beyond repair. You need a replacement. Start looking on ebay. There may also be a evinrude or johnson 3hp tank that will fit. Just compare the photos. You could also try sources like tcoutboard.com. They may have one for you.
