Gas tank location question

I have a 95 suzuki outboard. It is almost to big for my 16ft jon boat so I would like to locate my fuel tank in the front of the boat to equalize the wieght. Does anyone know if the motor will pull the fuel from that far, or will I need to install a booster fuel pump?

it shouldn't be a problem, how big is your motor,not that it will make a differance. thats what primer bulb is for

My son had a rig sorta like that, left the tank in the back, added about a 50 pound bag of sand up in front of boat, really helped with weight distribution/getting on plane. Sand bag just lays there, not much in the way, might help you a lot. Good Luck!
