Gas tank replacement.

1988 Dixie 21'walkaround cuddy cabin, I/O, 50 gal aluminum tank.Has anyone replaced this tank?Tank is wider than floorboard opening,I'm not sure it will fit if I unblock it and try to remove.Any suggestions or where I might find info from manufacturer?

It Usually takes Major Surgery.............<br /><br />You may have to cut a plug out, remove, replace the tank, Then epoxy the plug back in...<br />What Make of boat ??

Based on all the current literature, you should be replacing with a plastic/poly tank. Consider two smaller ones connected.... is that feasible?

well i don't know what kind of floor we are talking about glass or woodit is supposed to be big enough to get the tank out.Next what is wrong with the tank that is in it now and are sure it is the tank ? leaks can be in the fuel line or fuel seperator .
