Gasket adhesive?

I posted this question on another post, but since that thread was getting a little "Long in the tooth" so to speak, I didnt get any replies.<br />I have ordered new base plate gaskets and exhaust cover gaskets for my 1150 inline and I need to know whether to put the gaskets on dry or with adhesive?<br />If adhesive is to be used, is there a prefered type / brand?

Those gaskets don't need sealer

Laddies is probably right,but I learned on OMC units to put gasket cement on everything but the intake gaskets,and haven't have a failure.So maybe it just doesn't hurt if you do use it on the base and exhaust.<br /><br />DHP
