I have attached a picture of the trailer as it sits now and two from the day I purchased it. I plan to put back together in the spring because it stores better apart. The stamp on the trailer is 20243W, does anyone know if this indicates model or is it just serial number? How can I find out what year this one was built? I am looking for a decal, what is the best way to find or get one made? The couplers are green, was this a stock thing to do?

A good vinyl graphics shop should be able to reproduce the sticker.
What the deal with the dual couplers?

Re: Gator Trailer ID and Decal Wanted

Richard is correct, it is part of the tilt processes. The one coupler stays on the car while the other is removed so that the tong can be raised without the trailer rolling back. The other interesting part of this trailer is that it has a rear roller that can be ?lifted? up to help roll the boat off the back bunks. I was lucky because it had the original tire rims so I can put baby moons back on. I am thinking of getting wide white wall trailer tires, but I have not looked to see it they are still made. This is not one of the high end classic trailers of that time, but I think is will handle my 600 pound rig. I will not tell my accountant (wife) how much I now have into my $75 original purchase, but it has been a fun project so far! Since my boat is a 1959 (they did not come together), for now that is what I will use for age.

Jet,

I have a very similar trailer. Do you happen to know what model yours is?
Is it a 14 or 16 foot trailer?
If anyone ever finds a source for the rear decal please post for all. Thanks.

I just aquired a very similar trailer. Where did you find the stamped numbers on the trailer. The trailer I got has been painted over once mayb e twice. I plan on restoring this trailer. Thanks for you help.
