Hello guys and gals from Saskatchewan, Canada. Looking for a bit of advice and how to on installing gauges onto my 45 HP Chrysler outboard, model # 454BG. Don't have a bunch of experience with outboards, so thought I'd turn here before I did anything stupid haha. Looking to install tach (mechanical, not digital), water temp and water pressure gauges. Have watched a number of videos and read a bunch of different forums but no one really focused on a Chrysler outboard. I'm assuming each brand has their own unique way of doing things. If anyone could guide me through the process, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Welcome.
Your's is a 74.
You have the right tach?
The have to match the stator.
The newer used a 20 pole the older an 8 pole(I think??)
The temp and water pressure gauges, top of the cyl. head is a screw you can remove(maybe).
Just make sure the original sending unit works and the alarm sounds.
The buzzer could be in the shifter or under the dash.
