Gauge Lights

While under way at night I am unable to see out of the winshield because the guage lights make such a bad reflection. Any ideas on a dimmer (reastat?) I have been unable to find anything that will work.

A dimmer switch like those used in an auto should work fine. Try an autoparts store or radio shack.<br /><br />You can also kill the lights and use a cockpit light (kind of like a low volatge desk lamp) above the gauages wich should prevent most of the reflection - try the mega mall here on iboats I am sure you can find one. If not, try west. You can also rig up yor own from any of the 12V lights made for marine use.
