Gauges and Bow Trim Switch not working after winter storage

Instead of trying to troubleshoot all these individually I thought I'd check if it could be one common problem...

The speedo and fuel gauges have never worked on my skeeter/yamaha 90hp and that's fine. After winter storage(in garage) my Tach gauge, trim gauge, and bow trim switch don't work. Trim switch at throttle and on outboard still work. I installed a humminbird on a ram mount next to console but was very careful not to hit any wires with the drill.

Any advice on where to start looking or if this could be a common problem? I've spent some time looking at as much of the wiring as possible and don't see any obvious problems, but I have minimal experience with boat wiring.

Thanks!!!

Diagnosing gauge operation is as simple as making sure each one has +12 volts and ground when the key is in the RUN position. If some do and some don't, then there are individual connection problems on the gauges. If none of them do, then check for power from the "A" (accessory) terminal on the ignition switch. Make sure there is a good ground connection to each gauge and to the ground buss (wherever you find ground). If the gauges are powered, but don't work, the wire to the applicable sending unit is open, the connection at the sender is bad, or the sender itself is bad. Use the search feature in this forum for generic gauge wiring diagrams and fuel gauge problem resolution. It is covered many times and the same logic is used for all the other gauges except the speedometer. It is not an electronic instrument. It has a plastic tube on it that runs back to the pitot at the back of the boat or to the pitot connection on the engine. Chances are the tube is either kinked, plugged, or the pitot opening is clogged with debris.

If you did not damage the wiring yourself during the mounting then it is a good chance mice have got into boat and chewed wiring up in a place you have not looked yet.

I have seen a few cars, trucks, tractors, and boats damaged by mice. not sure why they like to chew up the wiring but they do and squirrels do it also, but have not seen squirrels do it to something in a garage
