I have been looking at tachs online and have figured out that it isn't much more to buy a complete set. Since I was wanting to install a volt meter also. But the kit comes with a trim gauge. My boat does not have a trim gauge now but was going to go ahead and install it. Teleflex instructions says that I need a sender, but its a oem part. I was wondering if the sender is already on my motor (1995 Evinrude 175hp) since it has power tilt and trim? If not does anyone know how much they are and how hard they are to install?

Thanks,
Robert

Re: Gauges

It will have the trim sender. Even a '95 40HP with T&T had it installed. If you have the option, swap the T&T gauge for a Water Pressure Gauge. This is far more valuable than a trim gauge. There is no optimum trim gauge setting for all conditions. The seat of your pants will tell you when trim is correct. Speedo, Fuel, WP, Tach and Voltmeter is all you need.
