High Gear?? Do you mean forward gear? At any rate, it could be a lot of things. The prop could have spun on it's hub. The shift dog could be gone. A gear could be damaged. The driveshaft could be stripped or broken. Or the shift linkage could have come apart. Does it work in reverse? A spun prop will often work at low speeds, and start slipping as you speed up. A clutch dog will usually pop in and out of gear with a bang like you hit something. If the prop is OK, you're gonna have to start taking things apart. If the prop is good, and the shift linkage appears to be working, then you'll have to get in to the gear case. The problem would likely be obvious once you go that far.
