Gear Lube

Hey,<br />WHat do ya'll guys think of the Wal Mart cheeper gear lube?<br />I did a lot of trolling.And at the boat ramp white foamy oil was comming out the small holes on the lower unit.<br />No water was in the lower unit gears,I drain the Wal Mart gear lube.<br />I now have the higher price Evinrude gear lube oil in my motor.Is the Evinrude gear lube oil worth the extra cost?<br />Haven't been out trolling with the Evinrude gear lube yet.

Well, the foamy stuff you see has nothing to do with the gear lube. It's oil burning off from the engine. I don't have a problem with the Walmart/Lubrimatic lower unit gear lube...

Wally world is too big a company to tolerate law suits for inferior grade house brand lubricants. The press would have a field day....as they do every chance they get....can find. Think about it.<br /><br />Mark
