Gear oil for Omc Sterndrive

I have a 1985 2.5 L OMC Sterndrive. I was wondering what brands of gear oil I can use in it. I know I can use Johnson/Evenrude brand. Are there any others?

you can use any 80W90 gear oil, or synthetic blend gear oil for an outdrive or outboard lower unit

A synth blend gives a better lube in the event of water entry into the compartment.
i.e. a wise idea on a stringer drive
