My '86 Froce 50 seeped out a few teaspoons of gear oil out of the water intake after I pulled it out of the water. It stopped after that so I'm presuming I'm leaking some while its running. What do you guru's think?

Thanks,

Are you sure this is lower unit oil? Take a whiff of it. Does it smell like gas or lower unit oil? Chances are this is unburned gas oil mix going out the exhaust. Typiclly looks like creamy white stuff oozing out of those holes. IF it is gas oil mix you should decarb and inspect and clean your fuel recircuilation system.

Smells like gear oil has a light carmel color.

My 150 had the same symtoms, I kept an eye on it and it got just a little worse each time I took it out. Mine also took water into the gearcase and that's when I decided to pull it and discovered the driveshaft bearing was worn out which caused the driveshaft seal to go.
