Gear Ratio's

[Mercury140-I6]

I have a 1979 1/2 Merc 140 on a 1979 1/2 115 mid-tower and lower unit. My question is, was there a different gear ratio for the 140 and 115 or was it the same for both??? <br /><br />Craig

Early 1150 and 1350 engines were 14-24 or 1.78 to 1<br />Later 900-1150-1400-1500 and XS were 14-28 or 2 to 1
