Gear Shift Question about small outboards

I'm considering purchasing a new 4-stroke outboard, something like 15-25hp. All that I have ever owned are 2-stroke mercury outboards. I have really enjoyed the ability to shift between forward and reverse using the throttle on the tiller handle as the 2-stroke mercury outboards do. (not having to turn around to do it). It is nice when setting lines, or hooks, when going in an out of a lot of tight places in trees, etc.

From what I can tell, no other outboard has this feature, not even the 4-stroke mercury? Can anyone confirm/deny this, or are there any conversion kits for other makes? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

brett,

Most new outboards (tiller models) have shift handles on or very near the throttle.
