I have a Mercury 60hp (09786177) tho not sure how old it is in good order, but when I put it into forward gear I get no drive just a 'rasping' noise like a jumping dod-clutch. Funny thing is tho, if I tilt the outboard up 45 degrees it then goes into gear properly and works fine until I re-engage reverse!!! Any thought would be welcome.<br /><br />It is not cables or linkages cos the same happens if I remove the cables and manually change gear.<br /><br />Regards,<br /><br />Timbo
